Hi Everybody...
As some of you might already know, this has been one of the toughest months of my life. My mother went to meet Jesus at 2:10 AM Easter Sunday. I woke up at 2:05 AM with a start...thinking that I needed to call the hospital. About five minutes later, the phone rang and I knew that what I had experienced was that invisible umbilical cord had been severed. It was the emptiest feeling that I have ever experienced in my lifetime, as yet. But, even with that being said, Mom got to celebrate Easter with Jesus, her sister, her brothers, and her mother and father. She had been crying out for Mama...my grandmother. I know that my grandmother was there to meet her and it brings tears to my eyes as I type that...but it also brings a smile knowing that the two of them are together. What is there about a mother/daughter relationship that never goes away? I remember watching my mother grieve the loss of her own mother...and now I am grieving the loss of MY mother. She was a wonderful woman....totally dedicated to her kids...and we had better never step out of line with her. She never really had to lay a hand on any of us. She made it clear from the time that we were old enough to know better that she was our mother and we were to respect her. She made it clear to my older brother that if she ever had to fear being around him, he would have to find another place to live. She made it clear to all of us that excellence was expected from all. She didn't expect us to do what we were incapable of doing...but to excel at what we WERE capable of doing. She always routed for the underdog and would make us reason out the feelings of our childhood enemies. She would explain that the mean lady behind the checkout counter must have had a bad day, so we had better be extra nice to her. She was an old fashioned mother who asked the famous question, “I you see someone jump off of a bridge, are you going to jump after them?!” LOL. She was something else. When she laughed, it was contagious...especially if her sister/my Aunt Jean, was laughing with her. They would become uncontrollable.
But, in the mid '90's, my mother had a knee replacement done that would change the rest of her life for the worse. The surgeon, gave her a man's knee, staff infection, and a walker....which lead to no knee and a wheelchair. This once vibrant woman slowly broke down physically from dragging around a leg without a knee. The doctor showed no remorse. There was another wonderful lady who shared my mother's hospital room during the staff infection...who had the same surgical team, the same staff infection and unfortunately for her and her family, an early demise as a result of the infection. Mom spent 9 consecutive months in that hospital. She transferred to a special hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where they had to fuse her spine after it was discovered that the staff had attacked it....and yet she lived on for 11 more years....she beat the odds. She told me during our last cognitive conversation to please stop praying for her when she had one of her ailments. She had two near death experiences that she feels she was prayed back to earth from. If you want to hear more about these experiences, be sure to read “MY LIFE” on the website. For those of you who have lost your babies at a very early age...you will want to read it because it will give you hope.

My mother amazed me. She was the font of endless love. She was stubborn and bullheaded. I will always love her. :-)
Now....about the files:
You need to be careful when you go to download the newest ones because once again, Yola is making it more and more LESS user friendly when I try to upload the files for your use. I used to be able to easily manipulate placement of the photos, files, and colors. Suddenly, that isn't the case. In order for me to have the easy access as I did before, I would have to start paying a subscription. I am not going to do that. So, in the past, I could easily manipulate where the wpc and pdf files were placed. I would always put the pdf above the wpc...and you probably don't even think about which one you are clicking on because it has always been in the same place. That is no longer the case. Some wpc files are now above the pdf files...not the other way around. So, make sure that you are reading before you download your designated files so that you don't take the one that you don't need.
I started studying and experimenting with designing lace. I love lace and love it on my cards and scrap book pages. However, be warned...you need to execute patience, practice and make sure that you are using a newer mat, decent card stock, and a sharp blade before attempting any of these new laces. They will also require time to cut. They will not cut fast...there are “millions” of holes to cut...and then to pull off. The holes are so tiny in some cases that you will have to pull the chads off with tweezers. I used a piercing tool to push the chad through to the side (wrong side) where I wanted to put it off (with the tweezers). So, I don't want to hear complaints because as you know, I test cut them with positive results. These cuts are designed for the experienced person who really knows how to use the settings on their machines. If you are inexperienced with settings, I would recommend more practice before attempting these lace pieces.
In the mat section, FLOWERS IN A CIRCLE is the negative portion of the paper. In other words, you will need two sheets of card stock. The background will be the flower color. The flowers themselves will be the “stencil”. So keep that in mind if you choose to use this file. The other two FLOWERS IN A CIRCLE 2 & 3 will be cut loose from the original paper.
The downtown files are supposed to be old fashioned. You can vary the names of the businesses to suite your needs. The colors and names of the businesses can be changed to suite your needs.

Hola
Recuerdo haber visto a
Ella dejó claro a mi hermano
Ella no
médico no mostró ningún remordimiento.
esperanza.

Mi madre me sorprendió. Ella era la fuente del amor
infinito. Era terco y obstinado. Siempre la amaré. :-)
Ahora
Empecé a estudiar y experimentar
No van a cortar rápido
He utilizado
