Hello Newsletter Subscribers,

I’m B-A-C-K!!  What a great trip!  I flew for the first time in 6 years and love my physical therapists for what they were able to do with my ears!  If you have vertigo and can’t fly…they are a great resource!  I was terrified because I didn’t know if the sessions that they put me through “took”…but they did and aside from some pain in my right ear (unrelated).  I arrived in PA fine.  What I was unaware of was that I was developing a sinus condition.  But, that is another story.

I got to visit with my mother for 10 full days and had her all but convinced to come to Florida.  The nursing home is working on her in this area too.  They said that as much as they would hate to let her go, they could see how close we were and would love for her to join us here.  So, please keep her in prayer that she will join Cliff & me, here in Florida and that we can find a way to get her here safely concerning her physical disability that we will have to contend with.  I wish that I knew a wealthy millionaire jet pilot who would be willing to volunteer to accommodate her.  I don’t know any millionaires though…LOL.  I would love to be able to put her on the plane in Youngstown, OH….fly her to Daytona Beach…and that would be that.  But, hey…God is in control.  He knows of a way when we can get her mentally ready for this move.

While in PA, the leaves were absolutely beautiful.  One of the big sacrifices that I made coming to Florida 20 years ago was the change of seasons.  I was never a big Spring fan…until the end of Spring.  But, I loved Summer, Autumn, and Winter…Autumn being my favorite.  I was able to enjoy the scenery back and forth between the nursing home and our hotel.  Speaking of which:  We had a great hotel and it had a great staff.  We stayed poolside…indoors…weird situation….a hotel with an indoor courtyard/pool…balconies included.  It was nice and warm in there….heated pool and a huge Jacuzzi.  That Jacuzzi came in real handy after pushing wheelchairs all day.  I would come back really sore…the pool area closed at 10PM….but the staff allowed me an extra hour when they heard why I was using it.  How sweet!   In case you are interested, here is their website:  Mind you, it is an older hotel that is under renovation…but very quaint.  We had a nice time there.  It was our home away from home.

There was a time when we would stay with relatives, but that time has come and gone because my mother is the last of our relatives in that area aside from my brother….who has a full house these days.  So, we needed to find another place to stay.  I am glad that we did too because Cliff and I both ended up with really bad colds.  My girlfriend, Rose, has put us up in the past…but she too has a full house these days.  I see an article blooming here as I write.  All of the kids are coming back home to live.  It is the bad economy.

But, I have been busy designing for Thanksgiving.  I think that it is an ignored holiday and wanted to provide files for our pages and cards.  It seems that these days, we jump from Halloween to Christmas.  How many Thanksgiving pages do we have to layout and not have as much to choose from?!  So, I concentrated on this holiday for this week.  Enjoy the files!

Here is something else that I found that I need to share with you…and it is FREE!  I get a newsletter from Kodak and checked out their projects for the month.  When I saw this one, I just HAD TO SHARE it with you!!  It is an Advent Photo Calendar.  You have to print out two sheets and then follow the instructions to cut.  Granted, it is not a cutter project, but it would be pretty easy to make.  I am going to make them for my grandchildren.  They will love this.  Here is the web address:

Hope that you like it.  I need to do some digging to find the Christmas tree Advent Calendar that I made several years ago.  I hope that I didn’t lose it in one of my computer crashes….if I find it, I will share it next week!

The files were miscellaneous this week.    If your interests are not being represented, then write to me at and voice your opinion.

My Prayer Life:  Nothing new this week.

If  you have prayer requests, please send them to this address:

In the subject area, type PRAYER REQUEST.  Do not send last names.  Only first names and brief descriptions of the situation.  God knows what is going on! :-)  I will add them to my prayer list!  I also ask that if the prayer is answered that you let me know so that we can give Him Praise!

ORDERS for WPC , PDF, SVG, and MTC files:  This feature is for those of you who need a special file.  I charge for these kinds of files.  The price would be determined by the complexity of the file.

Also, from here on in, I am listing all free files as pdf and wpc.  If you want an svg or mtc, let me know....but I will be charging $1/file.  Most programs accept pdfs.  If I list all file formats on my website, it takes way too long and takes away from the quantity and quality of the designs that I want to post in the future.  This will encourage you to learn how to import pdf if you don't already know how.  One person said that she didn't know how to use pdf for svg.....well....I made a tutorial on how to do this and it is listed on the site under VIDEOS.
