Hello Newsletter Subscribers,

As some of you know, my website is a Christian-based  website and I try to live a Christian-based life style where I constantly fall short!  I keep trying though….LOL.  Well, with this lifestyle, God and family always come first.  I got a call from the nursing home and was told that my mother has pneumonia.  That kind of puts everything in my life pretty much at a standstill until I can resolve issues there.  Mom always comes first when she is sick.  I tell you this because in the future, if you don’t get an email or new files, my mother or my husband, are probably behind that omission.  These things happen in life and they must take precedence for me.  So, please bear with me and keep checking back should this happen in the future.  I hope that you all understand.  Please say a prayer for my Mommy today…that she will get over her pneumonia quickly.  Thank you!

This is really important!  I need all of you to go to Yahoo Groups and search IzzaBoutChu.  You need to sign up if you want to continue to receive this newsletter. Otherwise, you will stop receiving it.  I wish that I could keep things the same way that they are right now, but my audience grew faster than I ever imagined and Yahoo is not cooperating with me sending mass emails.  They have assured me that this is possible if I send them out in the Groups section.  I hope that they are right about that.  So, please do this before next week.  As of next week, I will only be sending out these newsletters via the Izzaboutchu Group on Yahoo.  If you have trouble finding it, let me know and I will try to help.  Some of you have already done this…thank you for that.

This week was animalistic.  I made animals that can be changed in position and expression. You just need to use your imagination.  You can make several of one animal at the same time.  It is how you put it together that will determine what the final outcome will be.  That way you can make several at the same time and place them in different spots around your scrapbook pages, and they will all be as different as you make them out to be. You have seen those cute, and costly layouts that you can purchase online.  Now, you can do those yourself.  If I were you, I would look at what you like about the costly layout and try to mimic with these build-an-animal files.  I had planned on doing more, but my mom got sick, so there will be more to come in the future.  The bodies and heads can be interchanged.  So, keep that in mind when you see only heads in the future.  You can place the heads on the bodies currently listed.  Also keep in mind that you don’t even need the whole body.  You can place a frame and then layer in just the front paws and the head looking out of the frame.  Make it as simple or as extravagant as you want to.

PRAYER TAB:  This week I talked about the insecurities of once, confident brides.  I have a lot of weddings to attend in the near future and though some of these brides-to-be have kept the confidence that was instilled in them, some of the stronger ones have melted to jelly and are involved with men who don’t treat them so well.  I try to get to the common denominator of what these now insecure brides have in common.  I hope that this article will reach young parents so that they can avoid these common denominators before it is too late for their own children.

Also, if you have prayer requests, please send them to this address: IzzaBoutChuToo@yahoo.com

In the subject area, type PRAYER REQUEST.  Do not send last names.  Only first names and brief descriptions of the situation.  God knows what is going on! :-)  I will add them to my prayer list!  I also ask that if the prayer is answered that you let me know so that we can give Him Praise!

CHAT ABOUT PAZZLES:  Come on people…chat away here.  You all belong to groups.  Schedule an appointment with one another to meet here and chat away.  Enjoy some long distance time together.  Again…it doesn’t have to be about Pazzles like it was originally set up to be.  If you are having issues with something regarding cutting, get together to resolve it.  The only thing that I ask is to keep it clean and non-hostile towards one another or towards companies.  Just use common sense.

ORDERS for WPC , PDF, SVG, and MTC files:  This feature is for those of you who need a special file.  I charge for these kinds of files.  The price would be determined by the complexity of the file.

Also, from here on in, I am listing all free files as pdf and wpc.  If you want an svg or mtc, let me know....but I will be charging $1/file.  Most programs accept pdfs.  If I list all file formats on my website, it takes way too long and takes away from the quantity and quality of the designs that I want to post in the future.  This will encourage you to learn how to import pdf if you don't already know how.  One person said that she didn't know how to use pdf for svg.....well....I made a tutorial on how to do this and it is listed on the site under VIDEOS.

Videos:  I have posted a video on how to use the drawing tool in Inspiration Studio.  I also bought a microphone so that I can talk you through it.  Someone in the craft room was asking about the drawing tool, so I made a brief tutorial.

Keep an eye out next week for the tutorial on making your own paper lace the easy way.

Gallery:  I changed the GALLERY CHALLENGE to just GALLERY in case any of you wanted to post your projects.  Just send a picture and details to izzaboutchutoo@yahoo.com

If you have used any files that I have posted here, please send in a photo and the steps that you used for your creations.  That way, people can see how to use some of these files…especially if you used it differently that what it might have been intended.  I love seeing how other people see things differently.  Please share!

These are the FREE files that I added last week:

This Week's Featured Files:  Animals  :

http://izzaboutchu.yolasite.com/wpc-and-pdf-animals.php

There are lots of paper piecings that interact with one another in this section.  On all of the animals and critters, I made them so that the head is separate from the body so that you can mix and match.  You can change out the positions of the heads for a whole new look.  Change the directions of the eyes or mouths so that you can make more than one that then become a set.  That is what they do in those online stores.  They are actually the same image repositioned.  There are examples of this this week with pig image.  But, don’t limit it to the pig….do this with all of the images and you will have some unique cute animals and critters for your cards and pages.

Other new files:

Animals:  Build-an-Animal paper piecings.  There is a tiger kitty, an elephant, a baby calf, a pig, a lamb, and a puppy over in the party section…just eliminate the balloon if you want a regular pup.          http://izzaboutchu.yolasite.com/wpc-and-pdf-animals.php

Critters & Things  Baby turtles, a couple of lizard buddies, and buggy friends   You can change postions of the heads and eyes on these just like the animals.

Cards & Envelopes:  Dress-shaped card

http://izzaboutchu.yolasite.com/wpc-and-pdf-cards-and-envelopes.php

Christian or Jewish:  T-shirt art        Don’t forget to mirror these before printing!

Country/Rodeo:  I had a request for this last week, just as I got some great free clip art and decided to share this with all of you.  There is a cowgirl boot w/spur, a 10 gallon hat, a bull’s head…or whatever animal it is that they mount…has horns…LOL, a rodeo rider on a kicking horse, and a cactus.  I hope that this is what this person was looking for.  If not, email me at izzaboutchutoo@yahoo.com

Decorations, Swirls, & Such:  Vintage lock and key and a couple of scroll brackets

I envisioned these looking grungy with lots of coppers, golds, blacks, inks, embossing and or metallic sprays….to appear like metal pieces.

Dinosaurs:  Nothing new this week

Fantasy:  nothing new this week

Flowers:  Petal strips to curl into a 3-d flower….newest thing to come out in paper border punches…cut , curl, and flatten.  These are similar to those demonstrated at this summer’s CHA.  Here is a demo video so that you will understand what these are all about.  I didn’t make these to look as lacy as their because I wanted them to look more like real flowers.  If you prefer lacy ones, let me know:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38wsirqR1VA&feature=player_embedded

Scroll all of the way to the bottom to find a fern, a rose, and a couple of violets.   If you make bunches of the violets, they make a nice bouquet.  Unfortunately, only one showed up as a jpg for some reason…but there are two in the file.                          http://izzaboutchu.yolasite.com/wpc-and-pdf-flowers.php

Food: nothing new this week

Holidays/Seasonal:  nothing new this week

Lace & Corners:  There is a long filigree and a lattice corner.  I would not attempt to cut the filigree because it is so fine…but plan on using it with my pen tool on the edges of my page or card.  As for the corner lattice, you will see the letter “K”….use your own initials/fonts.  Or, replace the font with a pretty 3-D flower such as the strip mentioned above.

Party Things:  Party Puppies.  Don’t forget that you can take away the hats and balloons for a regular puppy…or…take another image from the animals or critters tab and then just add the hats and balloons for a party animal….and you can do this with the people too.  So, don’t limit yourself to what your eyes see…..make what you mind can create!

Mats & Overlays:  Make sure that you have a sharp blade and a good mat for these as they are very intricate!  To be sure, this is why I go through so many mats….I ruin them because of all of the intricate cutting that I do with lace mats and overlays.  I find that it is better to use a lighter touch when cutting these and repeat if necessary.  Don’t expect to do these quickly.  Some of these can max out the memory of the machine’s computer and can take a long time.

If when you start to cut, the memory appears to lock up, here is what I do:  I go back to the initial screen and group parts of the design using different outline colors.  Then when it is time to cut, I only cut certain colors per turn.  It is not always necessary to do this, but sometimes it is.  Who knows what trips up the machine’s memory?  I have had one pass at super intricate designs and then put a simple one on and have had to break up the design because the machine wanted to be stubborn.  It is trial and error.  Because some of these designs are so intricate, I highly recommend that you test cut at least part of the design before using expensive papers.  Always make sure that you have proper settings for your machine set up and sharp blades.  Have fun with these….like I said…they are my favorite.  I used to design wedding albums and paper lace was so much fun to make.  The economy has halted that enterprise….LOL.  But, I can still design for you!

People:  Scroll down to Teens and Adults to find Retro silhouettes of ladies’ heads…these would be great for the fronts of your greeting cards.  If you scroll down further, you will see ACCESSORIES.  There, you will find a bow, a pair of boots and clogs….at least that what we called them in the 70’s….the shoes that you slip into without a back.

Sports:  nothing new this week…..but you can always take a person or animal and put balls or equipment in front of them…like a dog with a soccer ball in front of him.  Don’t limit your imagination!

Things at Home:  nothing new this week

Weather:  nothing new this week ….but you can now take an animal or person and add an umbrella to them with the raindrop background…..or a pair of sunglasses.  I guess that that means that I now need to make sunglasses…..LOL.  That is an easy one at least!

Wedding:  nothing new this week

3-D:  nothing new this week
