Hello Newsletter Subscribers,

Well, Labor Day has come and gone.  I guess that that means that we have to put away our white shoes-at least that is what my mother and her generation would have you believe.  I wear white all year long.  I also have found myself attracted to it in my scrapbook pages.  I find myself collecting the solid sheets of paper that are white…you know…the ones that come with your scrapbooks?  I love to make edged laces, mats, etc…from these simple sheets of paper.  I also love to use these sheets to make audition pages.

I have tabs set up for audition pages and haven’t even posted anything yet.  I just have not had time to scan them.  To me, audition pages are taking page maps a step further.  I like to make large maps so that I can put my photos right on top of the page in the rectangles on the audition so that I can see if I really like it….or to see if another photo would make a better leading photo.  I do the same thing with my cards.  I have cards cut out in different styles that I never use.  I only use them to place my papers and ephemera on to see what the outcome will be…without  surprises.  So, keep an eye on the audition tabs in the weeks to come so that you can either print them out, or copy them onto your extra white papers that come with your photo albums!

This week I added to Build-an-Animal.  I know that a lot of you love to put cute animals onto your scrapbook pages.  I have purposefully been separating the heads from the bodies so that you can move the heads from one body to another – and so that you can move the head around on the same body to create different body language.  When you look at the files, it will appear to be 3 different animals within each file…while in fact…it is the same exact file with the head place differently on the animal’s body, so that you can get different ideas on how to use it.  You don’t even have to use the body if you don’t want to.  You could place the head on top of journal notes and maybe part of the paws cut out hanging over the edge.  So, you have the new frames from last week…and this week….you can add animals to them.

Another theme that I worked with this week is Victorian.  I love Victorian things…after all…my real name is Victoria…LOL.  But, my mother told me that I fell in love with the Victorian era at a very early age.  I guess that I was attracted to things of that era as a young girl.  She said that while other girls wanted pop art on their walls, growing up, aside from a shag rug in my room, I wanted lace and patchwork coverlets, embroidery and dark colored wallpapers…which she never agreed with!  So, this week, throughout the site, you will see examples of the Victorian era, here and there.

If  you have prayer requests, please send them to this address: IzzaBoutChuToo@yahoo.com

In the subject area, type PRAYER REQUEST.  Do not send last names.  Only first names and brief descriptions of the situation.  God knows what is going on! :-)  I will add them to my prayer list!  I also ask that if the prayer is answered that you let me know so that we can give Him Praise!

CHAT ABOUT PAZZLES:  I wish that would all utilize this tab.  So, we will see what happens here.  I am scheduling times for your different interests to see if that will make you peek in to see what is going on…or not!

Tuesday  7 PM Eastern Time:

I need to apologize for myself.  I got my days mixed up because my husband was on vacation.  I did show up on Wednesday because I thought that it was Tuesday.  So, if you were in the chat room, I apologize for not being there….but if you were there, I hope that you met some others involved in the newsletter…and that you had a nice time.  I will try this again this coming week!

What should we do with all of these cutting files?  Forum on how to use what we already have before collecting more!  Are we file junkies, or do we use them too?  How?  How are you organizing them so that you can find them?  That is an advantage over the cartridges…which make you are subject to their organizational strategies or lack of….but you can have easy access if you file correctly.  What are you doing to make your cutting life easier?  I see a video opportunity here.  Maybe I will show you my file system…and maybe you can show me what to do differently and vice versa!

ORDERS for WPC , PDF, SVG, and MTC files:  This feature is for those of you who need a special file.  I charge for these kinds of files.  The price would be determined by the complexity of the file.

Also, from here on in, I am listing all free files as pdf and wpc.  If you want an svg or mtc, let me know....but I will be charging $1/file.  Most programs accept pdfs.  If I list all file formats on my website, it takes way too long and takes away from the quantity and quality of the designs that I want to post in the future.  This will encourage you to learn how to import pdf if you don't already know how.  One person said that she didn't know how to use pdf for svg.....well....I made a tutorial on how to do this and it is listed on the site under VIDEOS.

Videos:  I spent more time making and uploading videos than I did making files this week because I want to empower you to be able to become designers, yourselves!

Videos for the Inspiration Studio people on how to make your own paper to match your photos, how to cookie cut from those papers using your files, and how to change colors on scanned projects.  Scroll all of the way to the bottom of this page to see how I use my flashdrives to create folders to storing all of my files in an organized fashion.  http://izzaboutchu.yolasite.com/videos.php

Gallery:  I changed the GALLERY CHALLENGE to just GALLERY in case any of you wanted to post your projects.  Just send a picture and details to izzaboutchutoo@yahoo.com

I posted some of my work there this week.  Maybe you can pick up some ideas.  Even if you don’t like my style, you might like something about the layout to make note of for you future layouts.

I would like to see some of your work that you have made using the files listed in the IzzaBoutChu! Site.  Please share!

Paper and files:  I am reposting this from last week because I have not heard from any of you as to whether or not you are interested in these types of files or not.

****new section****  This is a new section that I am experimenting with.  Depending on your response will determine as to whether I will make more of these in the future.  Even if you don’t like the design for this week, if you have the means, I would appreciate hearing from you as to whether or not you were able to download it properly or not.  What I am attempting to do here is to make paper and embellishments to match.  You would have to print out the paper.  If you do not have a wide format printer, the pdf is in an 8X8 format that could be printed on a regular printer.  This week has a Parisian Flair to it.  There is an emblem file on emblem paper.  There will be an emblem printed on the paper…and then you can layer the cut file over it to get a layered shadow effect.  There is also a poodle on the accompanying page….oh yea…some edged lace too! Ooh-la-la!

People:  Lady’s Victorian clothing, and under Personal Accessories you will find sneakers, star earrings, and a brooch.  For the brooch, you should place more decorations on it…using it as a background for your “pin”.

Sports:  Dance:  a ballerina girl, ballet slippers, and I moved some worship dancers into this category from the religious tab.

Steampunk/Antique/Vintage:  *****New Tab*****  To be honest, these are not new files, but another way to categorize what is already on the site.  There had been a new interest in this type of file.  I am just making it easier to find these types of files.  There are a couple of new ones here though:  a brooch to decorate (see People above) and a telephone.

Teachers…email me at izzaboutchutoo@yahoo.com to tell me what you are looking for.  If I have it, I can share it….or perhaps design something for you.

If you have any ideas for files, please let me know!  I love to design and your suggestions let me know that I am not doing this in vain.  If you have an idea, just send an email with IDEA in the subject area.
Please send ALL correspondence to the IzzaBoutChuToo@yahoo  email address.  My Opal777 email address is a personal one.  I have an elderly mother who ails from time to time...and I need that one kept open for personal communication.  Thank you for understanding in advance.  :-)
